Joel G-cropJoel Glick, author, armchair philosopher, punster and a member-artist of the Siskiyou Arts Museum, passed away at his home in Mt. Shasta on July 14, 2015. Joel loved the Mt. Shasta community where he found friends and community in abundance. He was happy elsewhere, as his personal philosophy was that everything is in perfect order, but his years in Mt. Shasta were among the best in his 89 years of life.

His estate has generously donated two of his paintings for a silent auction to take place during the Leon McFadden Retrospective on Nov. 14th, 5-7pm. $100 minimum bid; $10 increments. Bidding opens Nov 14, closes Sat Dec 12.

Come in to SAM or phone entry to 530-235-4711. Your purchase is a donation to SAM, but not tax deductible. You need not be present to win; the winner will be announced at our December art opening, “WHITE” on Dec 12, also from 5-7.

“WHITE” is an open call show with information on the website and at SAM, 530-235-4711, hours Th-Sun, 11-4pm.
