Ceramics, Painting, Photography and Sculpture from the College of the Siskiyous Art Department
Second Saturday Opening Reception: Saturday, June 13th, 4-7pm
Show runs through August 1st
This exhibition brings together a diverse collection of artwork created by College of the Siskiyous students during the 2025 – 2026 academic year. Through experimentation with process, form, color, texture, and narrative, the artists investigate both individual experiences and shared human themes.
The photography and paintings in this exhibition reflect a wide range of approaches, with themes of narrative, spirituality, and identity woven throughout. Alongside them, the ceramic and sculptural works emphasize the physical relationship between artist and material, highlighting the transformative nature of clay and other materials manifested through physical handling and technique..
Together, these works demonstrate the importance of creative exploration within contemporary art education. Each piece represents a moment of growth, inquiry, and risk-taking as students develop their artistic voices and technical skills. While the works vary in style and subject matter, they are united by a shared commitment to curiosity, craftsmanship, and creative expression.
As emerging artists, these students contribute fresh perspectives and thoughtful dialogue through their work. This exhibition celebrates not only finished artworks, but also the evolving process of learning, experimentation, and artistic discovery.
